Vivarini's "Mother of God with Jesus and the saints" in Veli Losinj
In June, Losinj marks the birth of Gaspar Kraljeto (Gaspar Craglietto 30th 6th 1772nd - Venice 12th 3rd 1838th) seafarers, art collector and donor.
He completed his naval training in Venice and became a lieutenant of the merchant navy, at age of 16 and a captain at 18. He sailed throughout the entire Mediterranean, Black Sea and the Atlantic.
